A built-in coach-mark tour walks a brand-new operator step by step along the basic setup path. It's the fastest way to see the whole flow once before diving into the details.


Starting and restarting the tour

The tour highlights each screen in turn with a spotlight and a short explanation, moving you between pages as it goes.

  1. New accounts get the tour automatically on first login.
  2. To run it any time, open the Dashboard and tap Start Tour.
  3. Follow the highlights; some steps ask you to actually do something before continuing (for example, create an event).

Behind the scenes

The tour is started automatically by the server on your first login with a new account. You can dismiss it any time and restart it with Start Tour on the Dashboard. As long as your account counts as "new," the tour can reopen on login; once you've completed setup, it disappears.

What the tour covers

It runs through 12 steps in two stages. Stage 1 takes you to your first event; Stage 2 walks through the configuration screens.

Stage 2 requires an event

The configuration screens aren't in the sidebar until an event is selected. If you still have zero events when you reach the "create your event" step, the tour jumps straight to the finish so it doesn't drop you onto pages that can't open. When you create an event, Stage 2 starts automatically.
