What is Interactive Penalty Game and what do I need?

Published · Updated

Interactive Penalty Game (shown on our website as Interactive Penalty) is a penalty shootout played with a real football. Guests kick the ball at a goal shown on a wall, a projection or a protected LED screen. LiDAR sensors detect where the ball hits, the shot is scored and the live leaderboard updates.

How a turn works

  1. Register: add the player name and define the number of shots.
  2. Take the shot: the sensor detects where the real ball reaches the display surface.
  3. Rank the result: the score is calculated and the event leaderboard updates immediately.

What you need

  • A computer.
  • LiDAR sensors (RPLIDAR A3M1). Two sensors are enough for a projection about 3 m wide.
  • A projector or a protected LED panel on a wall. We do not sell projectors or LED screens.
  • A ball and a clear play area.
  • The RPLidar Controller software (sold as LiDAR Interactive Wall), unless you already use a compatible sensor application.

See "Do I need two apps for Interactive Penalty Game?" for how the two apps work together.
