How does the robot know where to draw on the paper?

Published · Updated

The drawing is placed around a built-in center point 28 cm along the robot's X axis. From version 1.1.2 the robot settings have two placement helpers:

  • Go to center: moves the lifted pen above the center of the paper.
  • Mark paper corners: draws a small L at each corner of the selected paper size, so you can place the paper exactly where the robot will draw.

If the robot returns home with Faulted and a message that the paper corners do not fit the work area, check Paper offset X and Paper offset Y. Start from 0. The offset is a small adjustment added on top of the built-in position, not an absolute distance, so entering a large value (for example 280) pushes the corners outside the arm's reach. Fix the paper holder, run a test drawing, adjust in small steps and test again. If it still faults with both offsets at 0, contact support for a remote session.
